eSTEM students begin the Summer 2016 Cal Poly Pomona Undergraduate Internship, Tuesday, July 5

Today, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 (7) Pasadena City College students began a 6 week paid Summer Undergraduate Research Opportunity at Cal Poly Pomona.
This opportunity is giving PCC’s eSTEM underrepresented Catalyst Members the opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge that will help them when transferring to complete their degree.
They will be interacting with faculty, researchers, graduate students and other undergraduate students to get hands on experience and make them highly competitive and open for employment in high-end-science careers.
The following students were accepted into the program:
Ariana Villafuerte and Melissa Guardado are part of the Geographic Information System-Landslides Research Team
Nayeli Guzman and Taaza Singleton are part of the Rock Mechanics Research Team
Jeimy Portillo, Felix Monge, and Danyal Cave are part of the Water Quality Research Team
We are proud of of our candidates and are sure they will have a unique experience that will give them a deeper understanding of the aspects of their prospective career fields
